Master P

Born Percy Miller on April 29, 1970 in New Orleans, Master P was the king of under produced, cheaply recorded gangsta rap. Starting his own "No Limit" music shop, which turned into a label, Master P. assembled the production team "Beats by the Pound" (comprised of Craig B., KLC and Mo B. Dick), which worked on every one of the label's releases, targeting away from the mainstream radar. In 1994 he had an underground hit with "The Ghettos Tryin' to Kill Me!", after which he started releasing other acts, having built a rap empire by the late 90's.
