Grandmaster Flash

A self-taught DJ from N.Y.C., Grandmaster Flash is one of hip-hop's true pioneers and an undisputed living legend.
Flash and his crew, the Furious Five, are responsible for the classics "The Message," "It's Nasty," and "White Lines."
The original Furious Five line-up comprised Cowboy, Melle Mel, Raheim, Kid Creole, and Mr. Ness.
Flash's epic 1981 single "Grandmaster Flash On The Wheels Of Steel" is a prime example of his groundbreaking techniques.
"The Message" is widely considered the first hip-hop track to address problems within American society.
