A pioneering crew from Queens, ATCQ revolutionized hip-hop with their intelligent rhymes and jazz-heavy production. Tribe's debut album, "People's Instinctive Travels And The Paths Of Rhythm" was released in 1990. On their second album, 1991's "Low End Theory," Tribe hooked up with legendary jazz bassist Ron Carter. In 1999, after releasing their fifth LP "A Love Movement," A Tribe Called Quest called it quits. Q-Tip released his solo debut "Amplified" in late '99. Phife's "Ventilation: Da LP" followed in 2000.
