AZ is one of New York's accomplished lyricists and is routinely mentioned in the same breath as Nas and Jay-Z.
AZ made one of the most auspicious debuts in hip-hop history when he appeared on the classic Nas track, "Life's a Bitch."
AZ was also involved in the ill-fated Firm project, alongside Nas, Nature, and Foxy Brown.
AZ launched his own label, Quiet Money Records, in 2004.
His other albums include "Pieces Of A Man," "S.O.S.A.," and "9 Lives."
